Os cadinhos de carboneto de silício (SiC) oferecem diversas vantagens em relação aos materiais tradicionais, como a grafite, a argila-grafite ou o quartzo, especialmente em ambientes reativos e de alta temperatura. Eis os principais benefícios da utilização de  cadinhos de carboneto de silício :

  • O SiC tem uma excelente condutividade térmica (≈120 W/m·K), garantindo um aquecimento rápido e uniforme.
