O grão de carboneto de silício preto é um grão de carborundum extremamente duro e composto por 99% de SiC. Como material abrasivo, pode funcionar bem para jateamento abrasivo, tratamento de superfícies, retificação de materiais duros como mármore, vidro, jade, etc. O carboneto de silício é produzido por um processo que envolve a reação eletroquímica da sílica (SiO2) sob a forma de quartzo misturado com carbono (C) sob a forma de coque de petróleo bruto.
Característica do produto
1. Boa resistência à oxidação e estabilidade química a altas temperaturas.
2.º Dureza elevada com Mohs 9,2-9,3. Mesmo a 2000℃, ainda obtém uma elevada resistência.
3.º Excelente tenacidade.
4. Baixa condutividade térmica. Por isso pode ser resistente a choques térmicos.
5.º O teor mínimo de SiC de elevada pureza é de 98,5%.
6.º Alta densidade em massa.
7.º O grão de carboneto de silício preto é lavado com água antes do processo de moagem, pelo que existem poucas impurezas.
